Keeping Lettuce Fresh
Summer provides the best kind of weather for a solid salad craving. But, while I love to make these leafy wonders, I am at loss for how to keep the lettuce from going bad. It’s almost like as soon as I buy it the leafy greens turn to a dark, kelly colored mush in the fridge. Ian Knauer from Gourmet offers a great tip for washing and storing lettuce. Not only does this look easy, but sure cures that want to pound the lettuce dry when you are hungry.
